I met this hot French guy on vacation and we immediately clicked. We decided to exchange Skype usernames after our first meeting. We’ve been IMing frequently and one day I decided to sound sexy just for the fun of it. I Google Translated a phrase and copied and pasted. After entering the phrase I realized I addressed him too informally with “ta” (for “your…”) when I usually use “vous/votre/vos”. I panicked and quickly entered “votre*”. His response was “bel effort”. I was so mortified of my lame attempt at French that I quickly said my farewell and appeared Invisible. The next time I try speaking French again, I will seriously think twice before pressing enter!
