On Monday, H&M confirmed that Lana Del Rey will be the global face of the stores fall/winter advertising. Del Rey’s retro look has not gone unnoticed by the fashion industry.
The ad’s show her looking very fifties in an angora sweater, adding to the comments comparing her to Priscilla Presley and Nancy Sinatra.
Lana Del Rey was signed by Next Modeling Agency after Mulberry named a handbag after her and then landed the cover of Vogue. This campaign will be her first modelling job.
A minifilim will be released on hm.com on September 19 featuring Lana singing a cover of “Blue Velvet.” It is said that edited versions will be used as television commercials.
