The Devil Wears Prada or otherwise known as Miranda Presley shot her editor an icy are you stupid b***h stare that could freeze hell over when she suggested Spring floral for their new spread. She then sarcastically drawled “Floral…for Spring? Groundbreaking,” before continuing her murderous shooting spree on all her other editors ideas.
It looks like this year 2012′s floral trend proved the dragon lady wrong. With high-tech geometric, symmetric and Baroque style elements, this stale print has been rejuvenated to full bloom with a modern refreshing twist.
Spotted all over Spring/Summer runway shows at all fashion capitals, this trend has trickled down from Peter Som, Prada, Vavatos, Dolce and Gabanna to more affordable fashion retailers like Zara, H & M, Top Shop and Forever 21.
Not only are these prints super fun but they’re amazingly versatile as well. Throw on a blazer and stilettos and you’re ready for a day at the office. Add some flashy accessories and a killer purse and you’re ready for sangria with the girls. So join the 2012 flower power movement.
