Fall Trend: Lots of Leather!

The end of summer also marks the comeback of the leather trend. Leather has been around for numerous years. Back in the day it was associated with the rocker and rebellious image whereas now it’s used to make a fashion statement. Leather is a popular trend for this fall and winter simply because it’s so effortlessly chic. From the runway to your closet, here are a few key pieces to stock up on to embrace this hot trend.

A leather jacket is a great fall accessory that will put both edge and class into any outfit. Paired with a dress  and it has the ability to make the outfit sophisticated yet playful. Or you can choose to go casual with just the jacket, a t-shirt and jeans. K-Stew rarely parts with her signature leather jacket and for good reason.

Leather dresses are both formfitting and fun. However, they can also be overdone if you’re not cautious. Leather dresses are meant to be intimidating so make sure to downplay the piece by pairing it with simple shoes and accessories. Let your dress take the lead of your overall look.

Leather pants will be dominating the streets soon and I couldn’t be more excited. This material is extremely flattering and can be worn with simple, sporty attire or dressed up for going out. Try to incorporate some colored leather into your wardrobe. The warm and rich oxblood color is huge this season and the shade looks fantastic in leather.

Another way to represent the leather look is through great shoes. It’s time to bring out the tall leather boots. Leather boots have the potential to be an important ingredient to a stylish outfit. They are also very practical during the cold months and won’t fall apart as easily as suede or other delicate materials. Sensible shoes that also look amazing, how can you resist?

There are so many advantages to the fall leather trend. It can be worn in countless ways and still look chic. When you finally decide to embark up the leather tree just remember there is such thing as too much leather. Don’t make the mistake of wearing an all leather outfit at once. Leather is meant to be worn in moderation to maintain its elegance and sophistication.
