All eyes were on Miranda Kerr as she strutted the runway on Tuesday (August 14) at David Jones Castlereagh Street in Sydney, Australia. The 29-year-old supermodel, mother and Mrs. Orlando Bloom showcased designs by Romance Was Born during the David Jones Spring/Summer 2013 season launch.
Miranda- reportedly on a $1 million contract with the retailer- opened the show wearing a Lisa Ho maxi dress in a banana leaf print. Some of the other designs she rocked included a cut-out white one-piece swimsuit by Carla Zampatti, an Oscar-worthy red gown by Alex Perry, a metallic Dion Lee dress and a spectacular strapless peplum ensemble by Romance Was Born.
“Romance Was Born is really beautiful. They’re really well constructed and that dress gives the illusion of an hourglass figure, which I love,” Miranda said.
Before arriving in Sydney for work the model and her family treated themselves to a luxury getaway on the Great Barrier Reef, going to great lengths to dodge the paparazzi so they could enjoy some private time away with their 18-month-old son.
Miranda said, “I love coming back to Australia, especially when I can be undercover. I tricked everyone this week. We had to go to great lengths to do so. I can’t tell you what we did because then people would know our secrets but I felt like I was in Mission Impossible, ducking and weaving and dodging into different cars.”
