And another Hollywood couple bites the dust. Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough have apparently called it quits, according to People. Sources close to the pair confirm that busy schedules are to blame, but that the two remain in contact and will continue to be close friends.
The couple were together for over two years, even living together for a time, but distance and work got in the way. Ryan, 38, and Julianne, 24, have openly discussed the difficulties of juggling career and love, but always seemed committed to making it work. Just after ringing in the new year together, Ryan hosted the Times Square event, they jetted off to St. Bart’s for a romantic getaway and some fun in the sun. Julianne told Parade recently of finding time together:
“It’s a hard thing to do, especially when you’re so caught up in your work and bettering yourself, I think at the end of the day you have to find a balance with what’s really important.”
The American Idol host and the Dancing With The Stars alum have both declined to comment on the state of their relationship. Julianne recently wrapped up filming her Nicholas Sparks film Safe Haven, where she was quoted saying:
“Ryan is the most romantic person I’ve ever met, [He’s] very thoughtful and very generous…Things that you wouldn’t think a guy would even pick up on he’s already done five steps ago.”
It’s obvious this was one couple who cared very deeply for one another. We hope the two of them are recuperating well from the break up and are able to remain good friends.
