It is no surprise when we find out that attractive co-stars in our favourite movies and television shows are dating. But it is even harder to believe when certain fictional on-screen couples aren’t dating! How could two people share such romantic (and sometimes steamy) scenes without feeling anything for one another?
Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio
As if we didn’t already want them to get married after watching Titanic, Kate thanked Leo in her speech as she won a Golden Globe in 2009 for Revolutionary Road in which they starred together. “Leo, I am so happy I can tell you how much I love you and how much I still love you after thirteen years” she cried and DiCaprio replied by blowing her a kiss. Just make it happen already! We’re not sure our heart can go on if they don’t!
Emma Watson and Rupert Grint
Who wouldn’t love to know that Harry Potter‘s Ron and Hermione ended up together in real life too? Like their characters Watson and Grint have grown up together and into gorgeous adults. Both have denied having any romantic feelings for each other, but are always quick to compliment each other’s appearances and personalities. Watson has said multiple times that “Rupert makes me laugh like no one else can,” and has said at multiple interviews that she wants a guy who can make her laugh. To top it off, Rupert recently admitted to having a crush on Emma back in the early years. Maybe J.K Rowling should write more books so these two could spend more time together?
Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson
It’s hard to believe that people who play “star-crossed lovers” aren’t actually a couple. Both Lawrence and Hutcherson show striking similarities to their character’s personalities, but off-screen they appear to have a sibling-like relationship. Some have speculated that The Hunger Games franchise is trying hard not to be “the next Twilight,” and making the lives of their stars over shadow the movies. However, fans are still keeping their fingers crossed after hearing both actors gush over how wonderful their costars are. Hutcherson is always quick to compliment Lawrence on her sense of humour and quirky personality and in return she gives him compliments on his accent “You sound like a hick and that’s attractive.” Jen, just don’t wear heels around him, okay?
Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey
Admit it, every time How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is replayed on the Women’s Network, you watch it in it’s entirety. Not only did these two have amazing chemistry but there is no denying how well their All-American good looks go together. They re-united on screen for another film called Fool’s Gold (which was not as good, so let’s stick to their first movie together…) which most people watched just for them. Something tells us their babies would a lot cuter than the photos Hudson’s character made on photoshop.
“Emma Stone is everything, all the time. There is no one like her,” said Gosling in an interview. “The whole film depends on my character giving it all up for her. When she came into the room, it all made sense. Show me someone that wouldn’t give it all up for Emma Stone, and I’ll show you a liar.”
