Not only is Glee star Kevin Mchale getting animated in an Archie crossover, he will also be co-hosting the 2012 Teen Choice Awards with Demi Lovato.
“Demi and I have been friends for years, and I’d like to thank her for letting me in on the fun co-hosting Teen Choice 2012,” Kevin said in a statement about the gig. “It’s exciting to finally be working together professionally and I’d like to welcome her to the Fox family. This is going to be a great show.”
Glee is up for Choice TV Show: Comedy, and two of its stars, Chris Colfer and Lea Michele, are up for Choice TV Actor: Comedy and Choice TV Actress: Comedy. As for Demi, she’s up for Choice Twit, a category that puts her up against heavyweights Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Jimmy Fallon and Ryan Seacrest.
Celebrities such as Miranda Cosgrove, Zachary Knighton, Adam Pally, Hayden Panettiere, Zoe Saldana, Damon Wayans Jr. and Shane West will all make appearances at the show. There will also be performances by the Biebs, Carly Rae Jepsen, Flo Rida and No Doubt.
Demi’s first single ‘Skyscraper‘ off her latest album Unbroken recently went platinum and received the Acuvue Inspire Award at last year’s Teen Choice awards.
Kevin has played Artie Abrams since season one of Glee and last year he served as the Pepsi spokesperson for the inagural season of The X Factor which now Demi is a judge of alongside Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and Britney Spears.
