Designer Gowns Take Over At The 2013 BAFTA Awards

The award season continues tonight with the 2013 EE British Academy Film Awards. With all of the outstanding films receiving recognition we thought some of the designer pieces needed some much deserved attention as well.

Jennifer Lawrence looked pretty in a delicate baby pink Dior Haute Couture design.  The young Silver Linings Playbook star paired the strapless dress with chandelier earrings and a slicked back hairdo.

Anne Hathaway was one of our favorites on the BAFTA’s red carpet in a sleek black Burberry gown. The all black dress was very simple even with the metallic circular studs on the upper half of the creation. It matched perfectly with the award she received for her role in Les Miserables later on in the night.

Jessica Chastain decided to go with a deep cobalt blue Roland Mouret dress. Besides a matching diamond Harry Winston bracelet, the Zero Dark Thirty actress did not need anything else to complete her look.

Amy Adams looked stunning in an all black Elie Saab Couture gown. The designer piece featured a plunging neckline and front slit. The best part of the dress was the sheer lace design that provided some extra coverage. The actress who was nominated for her role in The Master, paired the dress with an elegant up-do and Faberge jewels.

Sex and the City alum, Sarah Jessica Parker, brought along her Carrie Bradshaw sense of style to the British award show. The stylish star decided to forgo the typical red carpet attire for a black Elie Saab velvet jumpsuit. The suit looked very chic and fitted but we do think she could have skipped some of the distracting accessories. But then again, Carrie Bradshaw can pull off anything!

Marion Cotillard went for a brighter look with a yellow Dior Haute Couture gown. Bright red lips, pulled back hair and a crystal necklace completed the look.

The next time we will see some of these mega movie stars will be at the Academy Awards on February 24th!
