Britney’s back and headed to Vegas!
Britney Spears, the pop star and former “X-Factor” judge, is heading to Las Vegas with a two-year residency deal to perform at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.
The show entitled “Britney: Piece of Me” will consist of 50 shows a year starting on December 27. The “Toxic” singer will be paid a whopping $310,000 per show, which totals almost $15 million per year.
“I love it here. The energy here is really, really good,” Britney said in an interview from Las Vegas on Tuesday on ABC’s Good Morning America “I am definitely going to do the greatest hits but I am going to have to put my new material in it to keep it fresh.”
Britney has decided not to permanently live in Vegas during her two-year contract, partly due to her two sons — she doesn’t want to disrupt their lives by taking them out of the school they’re presently in. Instead, Planet Hollywood is offering a mega-suite to Britney on the 52nd floor while she’s there.
Tickets for “Britney: Piece of Me” go on sale Sept. 20. Prices range from $59 to $179.
