Not only can she act and sing; Anna Kendrick will be adding author to her resume.
The Pitch Perfect 2 star has has a deal for a collection of autobiographical essays, Touchstone announced Thursday. The publisher, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, said that the book is currently untitled and is scheduled for Fall 2016.
If anyone follows Anna on Twitter, will know the petite actress is extremely hilarious and witty. Entertainment Weekly described Anna’s Twitter as a little haven for lovers of sarcasm, packed with self-deprecating humor—so translating those bites into a book seems a natural next step.
“I’m excited to publish my first book,” she said in a release, “and because I get uncomfortable when people have high expectations, I’d like to use this opportunity to showcase my ineptitude, pettiness, and the frequency with which I embarrass myself. And while many of my female inspirations who have become authors are incredibly well-educated and accomplished comedy writers, I’m very, very funny on Twitter, according to BuzzFeed and my mom, so I feel like this is a great idea. Quick question: are run-on sentences still frowned upon? Wait, is ending a sentence with a preposition still frowned upon? I mean, upon frowned? Dammit!”
We can’t wait to read this book!
