DIY: 3 Homemade Body Scrub Recipes

Most of you are aware that exfoliating is an important step in keeping skin clear, smooth and strong.  If you don’t, exfoliating pretty much is a process that removes all the dirt and bacteria our pores accumulate over time.

But to exfoliate, you will need a trustworthy scrub that will help cleanse your skin. So here aresuper easy and quick homemade, organic sugar body scrubs that you can choose from to keep your skin radiant.

Honey Almond Sugar Scrub

Here is what you will need:

  • 1 Cup of  Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup of Honey
  • 2 Tbs of Brewed tea
  • 1/2 Tbs  of almond extract

Mix all ingredients together in an airtight container or jar.

How-to use: While showering or bathing, gently rub the scrub in circular motions starting from your shoulders to feet focusing on dry areas (i.e. Knees, elbows). Use this scrub to exfoliate your body 2-3 times per week or use as desired. Rinse with lukewarm water when finished. (Remember to moisturize after!)

Brown Sugar Scrub

Here is what you will need:

  • 1-1/2 Cups of Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup of Olive Oil (Can be substituted with vegetable oil or almond oil)
  • 1/4 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract

Pack the brown sugar and mix together the vanilla extract and oil to form a paste.

 Banana Body Sugar Scrub

Here is what you will need:

  • 1 Ripe Banana
  • 3 Tbs of Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract

Mash together ingredients into a small bowl. Try not to over mash. Keep the scrub thick and chunky, not watery.

How-to Use: Before entering shower or bath, massage the scrub all over your body. When finished, rinse off with lukewarm water. (Remember to moisturize after!)

Voila! Radiant skin is now yours!
